The Search tab allows you to search for a locality in England. Enter the place name and click the Search button.
Clear
Click Clear to empty the Search field.
Navigation Control
The Navigation Control allows you to zoom in or out by moving the control button up or down. The arrows allow you to move the map around on your screen. You can also move the map by holding your left mouse button down and drag. The center button resets the map.
Layer tab
The Layer tab allows you to select a jurisdictional boundary to view.
Boundry Selection
Select a boundary to view by clicking the check box. The boundary is identified by a colored line on the map.
Feedback
Feedback allows you to send suggestions or report problems with the 1851 England Jurisdictions site. To send feedback, click the Feedback link.
Print
Click Print to print the map shown on the screen. To use the print options, place the cursor inside the gray bar on the left side of the screen. Print options will appear. Select your print options and then click the Print button.
Reset map view
Click Reset map view to set the map back to its original size.
Link
Click Link to view the URL and email it to a friend.
Zoom to selection
Click on a county, then click Zoom to selection to view parishes within a county.
Information Bubble
Click a county or parish to see the information bubble. The information bubble provides Information, Jurisdictions, and Options for the selected place.contigious parishes. Click the Jurisdictions tab to see information about the selected parish. Click the Options tab to change access the radius search, search the Family History Library Catalog, search the FamilySearch Wiki, or remove the selection.
Lists
The information from the Radius search or list contiguous parishes shows in the list tab. You can do a Radius search or get a list of contiguous parishes by clicking the Options tab in the Information Bubble.
Change Map view
Change the map view by clicking the down arrow in the upper right corner of the map window pane.
